UNESCO Poland Fellowship Program 2025 | Fully Funded Fellowship in Europe

Looking for a golden opportunity to study in Europe for free? The UNESCO Poland Fellowship Program 2025 is back—offering young professionals from developing countries a fully funded chance to boost their skills in science, engineering, and technology, all while living in Poland.

This fellowship is a collaboration between UNESCO and the Government of Poland, aiming to strengthen human capacity in developing nations. The program fosters global networking, intercultural understanding, and scientific collaboration by bringing together talented individuals from around the world.


A Global Platform for Young Engineers & Scientists

This prestigious international fellowship will take place at the renowned AGH University of Krakow in Poland. Through the UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowships Programme, 28 young talents will receive the chance to immerse themselves in a six-month academic and cultural experience in Europe—from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.

The initiative specifically targets youth in engineering and related scientific fields. With full financial support, fellows will engage in hands-on research, share ideas, and build networks that could spark innovation in their home countries.


Program Goals

  • Foster cross-cultural understanding and international cooperation

  • Enhance participants’ research and technical skills

  • Promote youth leadership and innovation in STEM


Fellowship Location

  • Country: Poland

  • Host University: AGH University of Krakow

  • Program Duration: 6 months (Oct 2025 – Mar 2026)


Available Fields of Study

Applicants can choose up to three project areas from the following:

  • Biomedical Engineering

  • Computer and Information Sciences

  • Earth and Environmental Sciences

  • Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy

  • Materials Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Sociology


Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the UNESCO Poland Fellowship 2025, applicants must:

  • Be under 32 years of age

  • Be proficient in English

  • Be a citizen of one of the eligible countries (including regions in Africa, Asia, the Arab States, the Caribbean, and Latin America)

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (minimum 4 years) or Master’s in a relevant field

  • Be committed to contributing to their home country’s development


What Does the Fellowship Cover?

This fully funded European fellowship includes:

  • Free tuition and full access to university facilities

  • Monthly stipend:

    • 1800 PLN (approx. $450) for Bachelor’s level

    • 2200 PLN (approx. $550) for Master’s level

  • Arrival allowance: 1800–2200 PLN to cover health check-ups, seminars, and cultural activities

  • Free round-trip airfare to and from Poland

  • Health insurance coverage

  • A one-time special allowance of $120


Required Documents

  • Completed UNESCO Fellowship Application Form

  • Recent medical certificate

  • Passport-sized photograph

  • Certified copies of academic degrees (translated in English)

  • English language proficiency certificate

  • Two recommendation letters


Application Process

  1. Check eligibility: Confirm your country is on the eligible list.

  2. Choose up to 3 research projects and rank them by priority.

  3. Contact your country’s National Commission for UNESCO to get endorsed.

  4. Submit your application and documents to:

  5. Register through the Fellowship e-registration portal.
