Are you an aspiring global health researcher looking for international funding? Great news—applications are now open for the RSTMH Early Career Grants Programme 2025! This fantastic opportunity is open to early career researchers and global health professionals from all around the world who have not yet received a grant of £5,000 or more in their name.
Through this programme, the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is offering grants of up to £5,000 for short-term research projects. These projects should span no longer than 12 months and must focus on topics within tropical medicine or global health—including lab-based work, field implementation, translation, or policy research.
Founded in 1907, RSTMH is a globally recognized charity and membership organization committed to improving health outcomes in tropical regions. The society operates under a Board of Trustees and six Committees, with members in over 90 countries, covering various disciplines and sectors. Although RSTMH operates with a small core team, its work is powered by around 1,000 global volunteers, including country and student ambassadors.
In 2025, at least 290 grants will be awarded under this initiative. The RSTMH Early Career Grants Programme is not just about funding—it's about building a global community of emerging experts in tropical medicine and global health. RSTMH supports your career, offers networking opportunities, and uses its collective expertise to influence change in research, policy, and funding.
