The American Advertising Foundation (AAF) is proud to announce the opening of applications for the Mosaic Scholarship Fund 2025. This prestigious scholarship offers a $10,000 award annually to a deserving college student from an underserved community who is pursuing a degree in advertising, communications, journalism, media, public relations, or related fields.

The goal of the Mosaic Scholarship is to help remove financial obstacles for students committed to advancing diversity within the advertising and communications industries.

  • Eligible Institutions: Accredited colleges and universities in the United States

Who Can Apply?

To qualify for the Mosaic Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university.

  • Be majoring or minoring in one of the following disciplines:

    • Advertising

    • Marketing

    • Digital/Commercial Art

    • Photography

    • Communications

    • Public Relations

    • Journalism

    • Radio/Television/Film

  • Demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a professional career in advertising, communications, or integrated marketing after graduation.

Required Materials for Application:

Applicants need to submit the following documents combined into one PDF file:

  • Academic Transcript: Proof of current enrollment and academic performance.

  • Recommendation Letter: Written by a faculty member or an industry professional who can vouch for your skills, character, and career aspirations.

Application Process

  1. Fill out the online application form (no other formats will be accepted).

  2. Answer all application questions carefully and thoughtfully.

  3. Secure a letter of recommendation from a faculty member or a professional in the communications/advertising field.

  4. Obtain an official academic transcript from your college or university.

  5. Combine all documents into a single PDF file and submit electronically by the deadline.

Selection Process:

Applications will be reviewed using a point-based scoring system. Key evaluation factors include:

Key Dates:

  • Application Deadline: May 9, 2025, by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time)

  • Notification: Winners will be contacted by email.

  • Scholarship Award:

    • Payment will be sent directly to the financial aid office at the recipient’s university.

    • Winners will also receive complimentary registration and travel accommodations to attend ADMERICA, the AAF’s national conference.
