The UCL Humanitarian Scholarships will provide financial assistance to those who face exceptional challenges, enabling them to access world-class education and rebuild their futures.

Benefits

Over the next three years, UCL will allocate approximately £900k to support students fleeing armed conflict or persecution. These scholarships cover:

  • Tuition fees
  • Living costs
  • Additional expenses, including visa and health-related charges

Eligibility Criteria

The scholarships are open to students who meet the following conditions:

  1. Applicants must be at serious risk due to armed conflict or have been displaced within the last three years.
  2. Applicants must come from a lower-income background and demonstrate an inability to fund their studies without assistance.

When and How to Apply

Applications for the UCL Humanitarian Scholarships will open in February 2025, with the first cohort of students expected to join in September 2025. The program will initially support four students each year, with plans for expansion as additional funding becomes available.
