The Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship Program offers an exceptional opportunity for students aspiring to build careers in fraud examination and related anti-fraud fields. This scholarship program not only provides financial assistance but also supports the growth of anti-fraud professionals through a year-long membership with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). With scholarship awards ranging from $2,000 to $10,000, this program helps students pursue their educational and career goals in anti-fraud disciplines.

History of the Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship

Established in 1992, the scholarship program was created to recognize and support students who demonstrated excellence in fraud-related studies. In 1998, it was renamed the Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship in honor of Larry Jennings, CFE, and Tracy Ritchie, CFE, two ACFE members tragically killed in the 1997 terrorist attacks in Karachi, Pakistan. Both Jennings and Ritchie were known for their dedication to detecting, investigating, and preventing fraud and white-collar crime. The scholarship stands as a tribute to their commitment to the anti-fraud field, with the aim of inspiring future generations to follow in their footsteps.
