The Danida Fellowship Centre (DFC) invites applications for the Danida Fellows Networkers Grant 2025, offering financial support for initiatives that promote collaboration, dialogue, and innovative solutions to global challenges. As a Danida Fellows Network member, you have the chance to apply for funding to engage key stakeholders and drive positive change in your field.

Grant Overview

This grant enables alumni of DFC programs to apply their acquired knowledge and expertise towards practical projects. Whether you are working on climate change, digital transformation, sustainability, or gender-related issues, the grant facilitates cross-sectoral cooperation to address pressing concerns.

Key Details:

  • Objective: Supports small-scale projects that encourage networking, knowledge exchange, and collaborative action.

  • Grant Amount: Up to 35,000 DKK per initiative.

  • Eligible Activities: Events, networking sessions, workshops, seminars, and collaborative projects.

  • Themes: Projects should address key topics like climate action, health, sustainability, gender inclusion, leadership, and organisational change.

  • Participant Requirement: Each initiative must engage at least 50 participants.

  • Co-funding: Not mandatory but encouraged from other sources.


Eligibility Criteria

To apply, you must meet the following conditions:

  • Who Can Apply:

    • Must be a Danida Fellows Network member, including alumni of DFC learning programs or research initiatives.

    • Open to applicants from any country, provided they are part of the network.

  • Restrictions:

    • If you have applied for or received a Science Engagement Grant from DFC, you are ineligible for this grant but can still participate in activities funded by it.

    • Coordination with the local Danida Fellows Network (if available) is required.

    • The project must meet Objectives 1, 2, and 4 of the grant’s goals.


Funding and Project Implementation

  • Grant Amount: Up to 35,000 DKK.

  • Duration: Activities must be completed within the same calendar year as the grant is awarded.

  • Eligible Expenses:

    • Venue rental or professional virtual platforms.

    • Refreshments (snacks, beverages).

    • Stationery, training materials.

    • Speaker fees for external experts.

    • Communication costs (graphic design, flyers, videos).

    • Logistical expenses (equipment rental, delivery costs; limited to 25% of the budget).

  • Ineligible Costs:

    • Accommodation expenses.

    • Non-eligible logistical costs.


Application Process

Pre-Application Steps:

  1. Engage with Local Network: If your country has a national Danida Fellows Network, coordinate your proposal with them.

  2. Explore Research Collaborations: Identify any DFC research projects in your region and consider integrating them into your initiative.

  3. Confirm Partnerships: Secure commitments from speakers, facilitators, and partner organisations.


Submitting Your Application

  • Fill out the online application form before 16 March 2025.

  • Provide a detailed budget and expenditure plan.

  • Clearly outline project goals and expected impact.


Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

  • Alignment with the grant’s objectives.

  • Cost-effectiveness and outreach.

  • External co-funding contributions.

  • Diversity in regional and sectoral representation.


Important Dates

  • Application Deadline: 16 March 2025, 23:00 CET.

  • Result Notification: Within four weeks after the deadline.

  • Project Completion: By the end of the awarded calendar year.


Reporting & Accountability

Grant recipients must submit:

  • Final Report: A summary or video detailing how objectives were achieved.

  • Financial Records: Receipts and vouchers, verified by the project coordinator.

  • Participant List: Documentation of all engaged participants.

  • Media Submission: High-quality event photos/videos (with participant consent for DFC communications).

Failure to provide the required reports may lead to fund recovery by DFC.
